10th Kuala Lumpur Air Scouts Group is the original name of the scouts group in the Methodist Boys School of Kuala Lumpur. With the reorganisation of parliamentary consituecies and with increased number of groups in Kuala Lumpur, the group was moved to Bukit Bintang District.

The group was renamed 10th Bukit Bintang. For Historical reasons, the group remains known as 10th Kuala Lumpur. [Update (2009): The name 10th Kuala Lumpur has been retained.]

The group was started in 1915 and absorbed 15th Kuala Lumpur after the second World War.

Scouting is not only outdoor life though the great outdoors form a vital part. It’s the eventful years as a boy becomes a man, guided by the 10 scout laws and the promise. It’s the character building leading to independence yet in a brotherhood, then into a responsible citizen in the wider community of the nation and the world.

On my honour, I promise to do my best
To do my duty to God, the Agong and the Country
To help people at all times
And to obey the Scout Law

As you, the visitor looks through all these pages, glimpses of 10th KL in the past and the experiences of the boys current, you may realise that 10th KL boys never grew out of their scouting days and really do practise “once a scout always a scout” and outdoor life will always be a part of us.

Visions of campfires all return
And as the logs flame up and burn
We dream of bygone campfires
And long for those to come.
